OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

INITIAL START-UP
When your spa is first actuated, it will go into Priming Mode, indicated by "Pr." The Priming Mode will last for less than 5 minutes and then the spa will begin to heat and maintain the water temperature in the Standard Mode.

TEMPERATURE ADJUSTMENT (80 – 104 F)
Press the TEMP button to display the temperature previously set. The set temperature is flashed on the display. In a few seconds, the numbers will stop flashing, and the display will show the actual water temperature.

Pressing the pad a second time will cause the set temperature to increase or decrease depending on what direction was last chosen. Each press to follow will change the set temperature in the same direction. If the opposite direction is desired, release the pad and let the display revert to the actual water temperature. Press the pad to display the set temperature, and again to make the temperature change in the desired direction. After releasing the pad, in 3 seconds the LCD will show the actual water temperature.

JETS
Press the JETS button to turn on the low speed of the pump. Press the pad again to turn on the high speed of the pump. If left running the low speed will turn off after 4 hours: the high speed will turn off after 15 minutes on models with the exterior indicator lights and 30 minutes for the other model of hot tub. Please note that the heater is not engaged when the high speed of the pump is in use. If the tub has cooled off too far, use only the low speed to engage the heater.

LIGHT
Press the "Light": button to turn the light on and off. If the light is left on, it will automatically shut off after 4 hours.

MODE
The default mode is set to Standard ("St" symbol on the display). To change the mode press the "Temp" button then the "Light" button before the LCD stops flashing. If any mode but "St" is showing (Ec or Pr) proceed through the modes until the "St" symbol comes onto the screen. The mode will be displayed only briefly when you get power to the hot tub.

PRESET FILTER CYCLES
Your Hot tub will automatically filter itself twice a day. The first cycle will start one minute after the tub is powered up, the second, 12 hours after that. The filter cycle is 2 hours in duration.

DISPLAY MESSAGES

NO MESSAGE ON DISPLAY
Power has been cut to the hot tub.

HH "OVERHEAT" (Spa is shut down)
DO NOT ENTER THE WATER. PLEASE CALL TRAVELLIN’ TUBS IMMEDIATELY (416-887-9400). One of the sensors has detected water at 118F.

OH "OVERHEAT PROTECTION" (Spa is shut down)
DO NOT ENTER THE WATER. PLEASE CALL TRAVELLIN’ TUBS IMMEDIATELY (416-887-9400). One of the hot tub sensors has detected a water temperature of 110 F.

IC "ICE"
Potential freeze conditions detected. Pump will automatically activate regardless of hot tub status.

SA (Spa is shut down).
The sensor that is plugged into the Sensor "A" jack is not working.
PLEASE CALL TRAVELLIN’ TUBS (416-887-9400) if the message remains.

Sb (Spa is shut down)
The sensor that is plugged into the Sensor "B" jack is not working.
PLEASE CALL TRAVELLIN’ TUBS (416-887-9400) if the message remains.

Sn
Sensors are out of balance. If alternating with spa temperature, it may just be a temporary condition. If flashing by itself, spa is shut down.
PLEASE CALL TRAVELLIN’ TUBS (416-887-9400).

HL
A significant difference between temperature sensors has been detected.
Indicative of a flow problem. Check water level in the hot tub. If the water level is less than 2 inches over the filter skimmer, add water up to at least this level. If the problem persists,
PLEASE CALL TRAVELLIN’ TUBS (416-887-9400).

LF
Persistent low flow problems. Heater is shut down but rest of spa functions continue to run normally. Follow directions for HL above. Press any button to reset the heater once the tub is full enough. If the problem persists, PLEASE CALL TRAVELLIN’ TUBS (416-887-9400).

dr
Possible inadequate water, poor flow, or air bubbles were detected at the heater. Spa is shut down for 15 minutes. Ensure water level is at least 2 inches above the filter skimmer. Press any button to reset the system once the water level has been raised. If problem persists,
PLEASE CALL TRAVELLIN’ TUBS (416-887-9400).

dY
Inadequate water detected in heater. Spa is shut down. Follow directions for "dr" above. If problem persists, PLEASE CALL TRAVELLIN’ TUBS (416-887-9400).

TROUBLESHOOTING

TUB HAS NO POWER
Check your fuse box or breaker panel to ensure that the fuse is not blown or the breaker tripped.
N.B: If your hot tub loses power for any reason (plug pulled, breaker tripped, etc.) you will have to press the RESET button on the GFI plug (yellow wall plug attached to hot tub) to start it again. This is a safety switch to avoid electrocution by holding the plug with wet hands.

PUMP WILL RUN BUT THERE IS NO WATER FLOW
Make sure the filter is clean.
Make sure the suction intakes are free of debris.
Make sure the water level is at least 2" above the skimmer filter.
Check to ensure that all adjustable flow jets are turned open.

PUMP RUNS AND THERE IS WATER FLOW BUT NO HEAT
Follow the directions above to increase the temperature. DO NOT expect to feel hot water coming from the jets.
Make sure all valves are open to allow full water flow through the system. Limited water flow will NOT build enough pressure to allow the heater to come on.
Clean the filter to allow maximum water flow.

PULSATING OR MINIMAL WATER FLOW IN HIGH SPEED MODE
Make sure water level of the hot tub is at least 2" above the filter skimmer.
Ensure that all jets are turned fully open.
Make sure the suction intake covers are free of debris.

BLOWER WILL NOT BLOW AIR INTO THE HOT TUB
Make sure the dial-controls are set to the "open" position

ADDING CHEMICALS

CHLORINE
You must add the chlorine that we have provided (i.e. if the hot tub is dropped off on Thursday night, you would add them Friday, Sunday, Tuesday) these have been pre-measured for you. Please add the full contents of the baggie to the hot tub with the jets running on high and the air vents open. Allow the hot tub to finish one cycle on high (15 minutes) and then you are ready to use the hot tub. Do not add more or less than the prescribed amount at any one time. Variance from the schedule may result in your tub having too much or too little chlorine in it at any time and this could result in bacterial growth, or a chemical burn.

FOAM AWAY
Add the Foam Away 5-6 drops at a time with the jets running on high if the tub has developed excessive foam on the surface after heavy use.

SPA PERFECT
You will only receive Spa Perfect if you are renting the hot tub for an extended period of time. You will add one cap full (100ml) once a week to keep the spa crystal clear and odour free.

If you have any questions about the addition of any chemical to your hot tub please call Travellin’ Tubs before you proceed with the addition. 416-887-9400
